A good Samaritan, who stopped to help what he thought was an injured man, had his car damaged by attackers.
The 20-year-old was driving in Brandon Road, Mildenhall, when he noticed a man lying on the side of the road.
Thinking he may be unwell, the driver stopped his car and went to offer assistance, but as he approached the man jumped to his feet and faced him and another man appeared from behind holding a metal pole.
Feeling threatened, he ran back to his car and drove off, but one of the men managed to kick his car as he drove past, damaging the side panel.
