Qld; Three Catholic schools to strike over pay dispute

Teachers at three Catholic schools in Queensland are stopping work in a dispute over conditions.

Queensland Independent Education Union secretary TERRY BURKE says teachers from St
Joseph's Nudgee College and St Laurence's College in Brisbane will strike for the day.

And teachers at Mary Mount College on the Gold Coast will stop work from 2pm-3pm (AEST).

Mr BURKE says teachers have been trying for four months to negotiate a new enterprise
bargaining agreement.
