Gym: German mother Dogonadze wins women's trampoline gold
German mother ANNA DOGONADZE somersaulted to the gold medal in the Athens Olympics
women's trampolining event today.
The acrobatic display by the 31-year-old earned her the gold with a score of 39.60
Canada's KAREN COCKBURN won the silver while China's HUANG SHANSHAN took the bronze.
Defending champion IRINA KARAVAEVA, who won the inaugural event in Sydney four years
ago, failed to even make the final after she crashed on to the end mat during her second
routine.
