NSW: Man arrested over police death
A man caught during an alleged break and enter in Sydney's south west overnight has
been arrested over the hit and run death of a NSW police officer yesterday.
Forty-three-year-old senior constable JIM AFFLECK was hit by a stolen car at high speed
after laying road spikes on the Hume Highway near Campbelltown in a bid to stop the Toyota
four-wheel drive yesterday morning.
The vehicle veered onto the other side of the highway before running up an embankment
and overturning.
